Dental ball bearings for dental handpieces come in many shapes and sizes. Many low-speed Dental Handpiece bearings only require standard type cages. We recommend Stainless Steel and at least P6 precision for these applications.
High Precision ceramic dental handpiece bearing usually have a synthetic cage. High-speed handpiece bearings are generally at least Abec 7 precision, and often have modified internal design.

Retainers Retainer also known as bearing cages.
(Cages) dental bearings use Torlon 4301 PAI, or Phenolic or Polyimide.
Torlon Retainers
Torlon PAI (Bearing Grade) offers a very low expansion rate, low coefficient of friction and exhibits little or no slip-stick in use. This grade excels in severe service wear applications such as non-lubricated bearings, seals, bearing cages (bearing retainers) and in high temperature environments.
Phenolic Retainers
They are used for retainer cages for steel ball bearings especially when exposed to high-humidity environments. The phenolic does well in where lubricant is scarce as it has a wicking effect to retain and attract
